The 0.015–0.05 mm 8011 PE coated aluminum foil is the cost-effective high-performance standard for electromagnetic interference (EMI) & radio-frequency interference (RFI) shielding, moisture barrier and wrapping in power cables, telecom/data cables, coaxial, instrumentation and fiber optic cables.
Compared to 1235 (softer, lower strength) or 8079 (similar but higher cost in some markets), 8011 offers:
Higher tensile strength & tear resistance in ultra-thin gauges
Better adhesion for PE coating & composite lamination
Low pinhole rate (≤20–30 pcs/m² at 30 μm)
Excellent flexibility for longitudinal & helical wrapping on high-speed lines
